Stacy Scott
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer
Unlike most trainers, working out or sports have not been something I had always done or wanted to do. Matter of fact I remember as a child, my Mom telling me I shouldn’t play sports because I wasn’t coordinated enough. It wasn’t until I started working out with a personal trainer 5 years ago that I began to realize I was coordinated and athletic. Then I experienced Crossfit and that gave me a competitive rush and confidence in myself like I had never experienced before. Don’t get me wrong, I am a very confident, outgoing person in general but I just didn’t have that confidence in my endurance and athleticism until Crossfit became a part of my daily life.
I am wife and mother of three, 11 year old twin boys and a nine year old daughter. I am the Safety and Health Coordinator of our family business, McDonald’s restaurants. I am involved in many the Community Non-Profit organizations and chair several committees and am president of two local boards. I tell you that, not because I want to impress anyone, I share this with you to let you know, busy people can make fitness a part of their lives. There is time! I know it is hard, but usually if it is hard it is worth the results!!!
I also find extreme enjoyment out of working with children. I believe it is paramount to establish proper fundamental skills at an early age of development. I, like many parents, want my kids to grow up healthy, and strong, and have a life long love for working out thus avoiding the common problems associatedwith childhood inactivity, and obesity. The goal may not be athletics, but the importance of developing lifelong habits of proper form, quality eating, and the constant need for activity is priceless.
My goal as a personal trainer is to encourage those who do not have the confidence to make the commitment to fitness and encourage them to push forward. For those already committed to a workout program, I want to help them to push harder and reach for their wildest dreams. We all should dream big, what is life without at dream? I want to motivate them inside and out, give them the courage to believe in themselves and push themselves to achieve their goals. I encourage everyone to set personal goals; this is a vital first step to success in all aspects of life.
