Steal This Video: Why Not Fruit...
“One of the hardest things to do in life is to listen without intent to reply.”
Soon after we filmed the lot of this particular "Paleo Buddha Seminar" I edited some content and tossed out a clip every so often. This week's "Steal This Video" is the sole clip I left unpublished....until now.
It's not that folks haven't heard me say this before. Or that I feared being incorrect. No, its more to the point that individuals are coming to the realization that carbs are bad. That grains may no be all they are cracked up to be, and sugar really is the devil. Its that humans agree with 99% of the content they are given, then find the 1% we dislike and don't agree with, then we question the other 99% on our way to burning the witch that made us question our beliefs.
You can even hear it in the clip...."fruit is natural". The single most common argument for why we should be allowed to have it. Like some how other things that are so called "natural" haven't wounded us before.
Fruit is natural. Naturally the substance that produces arguably the most fat gain known to man calorie for calorie over any other substance. Meant to, among other things, naturally make us fat in the summertime, so we can fast in the wintertime, hibernate.
Test it for your self, replace all fruit calories with fat calories. Watch the success. Or, argue from the fruit filled castles soon to crumble over the piling anti-fruit data, shouting all the while, "but its part of the food pyramid, its natural". Shouting, right up until that castle is a hospital.
